These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaning SE13 provides professional carpet and related cleaning services within its service area. By making a booking or allowing work to commence, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order for any service.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means the person, firm, or company booking the services, whether as an individual consumer or business customer.

Company means Carpet Cleaning SE13, the cleaning service provider.

Services means any carpet cleaning or associated services supplied by the Company to the Client as agreed at the time of booking.

Premises means the property, address, or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between the Company and the Client incorporating these Terms and Conditions and any written or verbal confirmation of booking.

2. Scope of Services

The Company offers professional carpet cleaning and related services within its operational service area, including but not limited to residential and commercial premises. The specific Services, methods, and expected outcomes will depend on the condition of the carpets, access to the Premises, and any additional preferences communicated by the Client at the time of booking.

Unless expressly stated, the Services do not include moving of heavy furniture, disposal of large items, structural repairs, pest control, or any work that would require specialist trade qualifications. Any additional services requested on site are subject to the Companys acceptance and may incur further charges.

3. Booking Process

3.1 The Client may request a booking for Services by contacting the Company and providing details of the Premises, the areas to be cleaned, and any specific requirements. The Company may ask for information such as the approximate size and type of carpets, level of soiling, and access or parking restrictions.

3.2 A booking is only considered confirmed once the Company has accepted the request and provided a confirmation, which may be given verbally or in writing. The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking at its discretion, for example where the Premises are unsafe or outside the practical reach of the service area.

3.3 The Client is responsible for ensuring that all information supplied at the time of booking is accurate and complete. The Company may adjust the final quotation or decline to proceed if the actual conditions differ significantly from those described.

3.4 The Company may offer estimated time slots for arrival. While every reasonable effort will be made to attend at the agreed time, the Company does not accept liability for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond its control. In such cases, the Company will endeavour to inform the Client and arrange an alternative time if necessary.

4. Access to the Premises

4.1 The Client must ensure that the Company and its operatives have safe and reasonable access to the Premises at the agreed time, including suitable parking where possible.

4.2 The Client must be present at the start of the appointment or must arrange lawful access to the Premises and provide clear instructions for entry and exit. The Company is not responsible for any delay, incomplete work, or additional charges arising from inadequate access.

4.3 Children, pets, and other occupants must be kept away from areas where cleaning is in progress, including any equipment and chemicals used. The Client is responsible for supervising occupants and pets during the visit.

5. Client Obligations

5.1 Before the start of the Services, the Client must remove fragile, valuable, or easily damaged items from the areas to be cleaned and must notify the Company of any existing damage, stains, or concerns about the carpets or surrounding fixtures.

5.2 The Client is responsible for moving small furniture and belongings unless otherwise agreed. Where the Company agrees to assist with moving items, this is undertaken with reasonable care but at the Clients risk for any internal contents or non-visible damage.

5.3 The Client must ensure that electricity, water, lighting, and adequate ventilation are available at the Premises for the duration of the Services.

6. Pricing and Quotations

6.1 Prices are based on the information supplied at the time of booking, including the size and condition of the carpets and the type of service requested. The Company may revise the price if the actual work required is greater than anticipated or if additional Services are requested by the Client.

6.2 All prices will be provided in advance of the Service. Where applicable, any taxes or statutory charges will be disclosed in the quotation.

6.3 Quotations are valid for a limited period as specified by the Company. If no period is specified, a quotation is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, subject to the Companys right to withdraw or amend it at any time before acceptance.

7. Payments and Invoicing

7.1 Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the Services on the day of the visit.

7.2 The Company may accept a range of payment methods. The specific options available for your booking will be confirmed by the Company before the appointment.

7.3 For business Clients, the Company may agree to issue an invoice with payment due within a specified period. Late payment may result in interest and administrative charges in accordance with applicable law.

7.4 The Company reserves the right to request an advance deposit or full prepayment, particularly for larger or specialist jobs. Any deposit paid may be applied toward cancellation charges as set out in these Terms.

8. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Show Policy

8.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing reasonable advance notice to the Company. The minimum notice period and any applicable charges will be specified at the time of booking.

8.2 Where the Client cancels or reschedules within a short period before the agreed appointment, the Company may apply a cancellation fee or retain all or part of any deposit paid to cover costs and lost time.

8.3 If the Company arrives at the Premises and is unable to gain access, or if the Client is not present where required and no alternative access has been arranged, this may be treated as a late cancellation. In such cases, a call-out or cancellation fee may be charged.

8.4 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any booking due to unforeseen circumstances, including staff illness, equipment failure, severe weather, or events beyond the Companys reasonable control. In such cases, any deposit paid for the affected appointment will be refundable if a new date cannot be agreed.

9. Service Standards and Results

9.1 The Company will carry out the Services with reasonable skill and care, using methods and products appropriate for the type of carpet and the level of soiling, as assessed by its operatives.

9.2 While the Company will use its professional expertise to treat stains and odours, it does not guarantee complete removal of all marks, discolouration, or damage. Stain removal success can depend on the type of stain, the length of time it has been present, prior cleaning attempts, and the composition of the carpet fibres.

9.3 The Client acknowledges that some carpets may be worn, faded, or damaged prior to cleaning and that cleaning may reveal pre-existing issues or cause minor fibre lifting or colour changes where deterioration already exists.

10. Liability and Insurance

10.1 The Company holds appropriate insurance for its operations. Details of cover can be provided upon request.

10.2 The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage that arises from inaccurate information supplied by the Client, lack of access, or failure by the Client to follow advice regarding preparation or aftercare.

10.3 The Companys liability for any loss or damage to property caused directly by its negligence will be limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, taking into account fair wear and tear, age, and pre-existing condition.

10.4 The Company will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of enjoyment, arising from the performance or non-performance of the Services.

10.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

11. Health, Safety, and Environmental Obligations

11.1 The Company will take reasonable steps to conduct its work in a safe and responsible manner, in line with applicable health and safety regulations.

11.2 The Client must inform the Company of any known hazards at the Premises, including loose floor coverings, exposed wiring, or restricted ventilation, and must cooperate with any reasonable safety instructions given by the Companys operatives.

11.3 The Client should keep children, pets, and other occupants away from wet or recently treated areas until they are fully dry and safe to use, following any drying times or advice supplied by the Company.

12. Waste Regulations and Disposal

12.1 The Company will handle any waste generated during the course of the Services in accordance with applicable waste and environmental regulations.

12.2 General waste such as used cloths, small packaging, and residues from the cleaning process will either be removed by the Company or left for disposal in the Clients waste facilities, depending on the nature and volume of the waste and any legal requirements.

12.3 Where the Services generate waste that is not suitable for domestic or standard commercial bins, such as certain liquid residues or contaminated materials, the Company will arrange for appropriate handling and disposal in line with relevant regulations. Additional charges may apply for specialist waste disposal, and these will be communicated to the Client where relevant.

12.4 The Client must not request or permit the Company to dispose of waste in an unlawful manner, including fly-tipping or use of inappropriate containers. The Company reserves the right to refuse any such request.

13. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

13.1 If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should inform the Company as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of completion, so that the Company has an opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy the issue.

13.2 The Company may offer to re-clean certain areas or take other reasonable corrective action where it is satisfied that the Services did not meet the agreed standard. Any such remedy is provided at the Companys discretion and does not affect statutory rights.

13.3 If a dispute cannot be resolved directly between the parties, either party may seek to use mediation or other alternative dispute resolution methods before commencing formal legal proceedings, where appropriate.

14. Data Protection and Privacy

14.1 The Company will collect and use personal information provided by the Client solely for the purposes of administering bookings, providing Services, processing payments, and, where permitted, sending relevant service updates.

14.2 The Company will take reasonable steps to keep such information secure and will not share it with third parties except where necessary to deliver the Services, comply with legal obligations, or with the Clients consent.

15. Amendments to These Terms

15.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of the Clients booking will apply to the relevant Agreement.

15.2 Any changes to the Services or to the Agreement requested by the Client will only be effective if confirmed by the Company.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

16.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any Agreement between the Company and the Client, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

16.2 The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided, subject to any mandatory rights the Client may have as a consumer to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.

17. General Provisions

17.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

17.3 The Agreement is between the Company and the Client. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

By confirming a booking with Carpet Cleaning SE13 or allowing work to begin, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
